It is one thing to know what to do to get a board role; implementing the knowledge you have about the board appointment process is the important part. That is where our NED Online Coaching Program comes in. This is our flagship program, as it opens doors for prospective board members to start or broaden their board careers.
6 Weeks of Intensive NED Coaching, Training and Implementation at an Affordable Price
When you sign up for the NED Online Coaching Program, you commit to doing the work and doing what you need to do to get a board appointment. You will go through the program with a small group of other participants.
We’ll meet online once a week for 6 weeks. Each week we’ll discuss the next sequential step in your board search process, knowledge that you will be expected to implement during that week. We will all hold each other accountable for our progress, ensuring that you remain on track and have more people than only your coach to bounce ideas off. It is an intensive program but by week 4 you will be ready to start submitting board applications and after 6 weeks you will find yourself ready to attend even the most intense board interview.
Learning and working as a group is a surefire way to remain accountable and to learn how to work as a cohesive unit – a crucial trait for board members. Sessions take the form of a live Zoom call, so you will be able to get to know your teammates better, often building lifelong bonds. This format allows you to build some personal connections, something that is invaluable when it comes to board appointments.

~ Leveraging feedback and experience for future opportunities - 1:1 Calls with Participants
These sessions are all set up as Zoom meetings so that attendees can interact with each other. Sessions are 90 – 120 minutes long.
After the final group session, your coach will have a personal Zoom call with each attendee to check in and see if there is anything more that NED Careers can do to help you in your search for a board role. You get the opportunity to discuss anything related to your board search or go through your application documents with your coach.
What does the NED Program cost?
The full program costs R6500. It includes 6 online training sessions held via Zoom. Sessions are held on a Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It also includes the workbook, templates and examples of all documents that you will use to apply for board roles as well as your Board Interview Kit. It also includes a 1:1 coaching session that you may use at any time after the program concludes.
How do I register and pay for the NED Program?
To save on the 3rd party fees that come with registering via Zoom, you can pay the course fees via EFT, using your name and surname as reference. Then email your proof of payment to elmarie@nedcareers.com and we’ll register you for the course. Please ensure that you use the email address that you want to use for the course, as we’ll use it to send you the links that you will use on the different course dates.

When does the next 6-week program start?
We only have one program left for 2024 and it starts on October 31st. It runs every Thursday for 6 weeks, after which you can schedule your one-on-one coaching session at any time that suits you.
